Abbott, Wisconsin was named for the prominent Abbott family in the area. Due to Abbott Confederate sympathies the name was changed to Sherma
Died Capt. Walker, a prisoner taken at Bunker Hill
Captain Benjamin Walker was injured at the Battle of Bunker Hill, taken prisoner, and died of his wounds 15 August 1775.
